
I tried repairing the game with the repair tool, reinstalling, updating, everything, nothing seems to work. I press play, something loads, then the play button is available again. I pressed the "Play" button in Origin and then the window closed (it was still open in task bar), and the cursor was rotating for a few seconds (as if something was loading), then everything went back to normal, I could press "Play" again but the game wouldn't launch. The installation went fine, no errors, nothing, until I tried to play it. I started with Sims 4 and continued with TS2 Ultimate Collection. I had Windows 8.1, and I thought that since I reset my computer, why not upgrade my Windows to Windows 10? So I did, I upgraded my computer to Windows 10 and everything worked fine, other than the fact that I stumbled upon one simple Origin error which I fixed kinda quickly. Over the past 10 years, a total of eight expansions have launched, including University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time and Apartment Life. The Ultimate Collection upgrade will include the main game alongside all of the expansions that have been released since the launch of The Sims 2 in 2004. It's a limited time offer, however, that's set to expire on July 31.


If you don't already have an account, you can sign up for one online and still download the release. Now the game is available for all current and future Origin account holders.


EA changed this policy, however, as not everybody who purchased the original title was able to redeem their copy of the Ultimate Edition. This news comes just a week after EA's initial plans to offer a free digital version of this Sims collection to all users who previously purchased The Sims 2, as the company will no longer offer content updates for the sequel and its expansions. If you have an EA Origin account then you can now get The Sims 2 Ultimate Edition for free, as part of a recent policy change by the game publisher.
